This is a rework/ reinterpretation of MegaMixx II off the 2 Live Crew's second album.

I was always a fan of Miami Bass DJs and their flavorful style of cutting.
All of Mr. Mixx's solo tracks were solid, and this one from his crew's sophomore album remains my favorite. The beats and the verbals used on the original blew my mind as a teenager, and I still refer back to this track as a blueprint for some of my ideas.

Other DJ tracks have been "covered" in similar manners, and this was one that really influenced me .
